Our Initiatives
Early Matters Permian Basin
Early Matters Permian Basin is a coalition dedicated to advancing early childhood education by supporting children from birth to age five, their families, and the systems that serve them across the Permian Basin. Through cross-sector collaboration, data informed strategies, and community partnerships, the coalition works to strengthen access to high quality early learning, support the early childhood workforce, and improve kindergarten readiness and long term outcomes for young children.

Childcare Coalitions
The Midland County Child Care Coalition and the Ector County Child Care Coalition exist to build strong partnerships among local child care centers, school districts, and community service providers. Through shared professional development, intentional collaboration, and targeted resource sharing, the coalitions support child care centers in strengthening their programs and enhancing the quality of care provided to children and families.
Landscape Analysis
The Permian Basin Childcare Landscape Analysis was commissioned by the Permian Basin Workforce Development Board and produced by The Education Partnership of the Permian Basin with generous support from the Permian Strategic Partnership. It is part of a larger ongoing effort to identify the region’s progress in expanding access to high-quality early childhood opportunities for children, identify challenges for the childcare centers, and solutions for all sectors of the community to help improve the workforce pipeline as both economic and educational indicators for future success.
